3. In The Barn Yard. Texas. 1908.

Ethel Peterson and the boys from the porch have been joined by a fourth "character" in this picture, the 3rd in this series. Also joining the people - numerous chickens, several geese and a small black pig. (Identities of all people will be "revealed" in Saturday's post.)

    I'm really loving this series. I'm also a little surprised how well the camera being used here is able to freeze motion, even shooting into the light like in today's photo. I imagine glass positives do expose fairly quickly, but I had no idea that the shutter would be so speedy, the f-stop so wide, etc. And yet here we have chicken feed in mid air. Kudos.
