| Young woman sitting on stoop holding cat, Olivia area, Texas, circa 1900. |
The young woman holding the cat is wearing a plain cloth dress. The bodice buttons with 3 large metal buttons on the front to one side. She is wearing boots with heels, which also button to the side. She wears her hair in a loose bun on top of her head.
The building behind her is notable for both its rough lumber door and the horizontal siding. So far only three pictures from the family collection of Olivia pictures show buildings with horizontal siding: the Lind / Wilson store, the picture of a group of early settlers, and a print (rather than a glass negative) picture labeled "At the Lind's".
