In an earlier post, I shared a picture of two hard working
ladies washing clothes (Water, Water: wooden water tank.) In this picture we can see that clothes washing was
not just women’s work. If you look
closely, you will see that this picture shows the same place, and possibly the
same day as the one in the earlier post. There is some change in the placement of the porch stool, the buckets and wash tubs: but look - the same rag hanging on the same line on the porch is still blowing slightly in the breeze.
